A Lynchburg man has died, a teenage girl has been killed and another suffered serious injuries in a shooting at a Virginia Tech campus in the early hours of Wednesday, July 13, 2016. A man from Lynchberg, 21-year-old Michael J. Smith, died of his injuries Wednesday morning after suffering serious injuries at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, the Virginia Department of Health said. The teenage girl was killed and two other people, a 16-month-old girl and an 18-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries, the statement said.
